We continue our series of music interviews recorded at this year's Jazz Fest. This week Bob talks with IRMA THOMAS in her New Orleans home about her five decades in the music business, about the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina and about winning her first Grammy for her CD "After the Rain." Her music club, "The Lion's Den" was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina's floodwaters five years ago and her house was badly damaged. Now it's been restored and looks better than ever.
Bob Edwards Weekend is a two-hour interview showcase, in which celebrated host Bob Edwards highlights the life and work of interesting people, from newsmakers, historians, and authors to artists, actors, and regular folks too.
